Coranti, Inc. has joined the OESIS OK Certification Program. Their Coranti 2010 AntiVirus and AntiSpyware application is in the queue for testing and certification. Welcome!

We have completed testing of RingCube's vDesk 2.x application and it has achieved Gold Certification in the Virtual Machine category.

Radialpoint has submitted two versions of the Verizon Internet Security Suite: Consumer and Business. Each suite contains antivirus, antispyware and firewall components. They are now in the queue for testing and certification.

AV-Comparatives has just released their May retrospective test results. You can find the report by navigating to the Main Tests section of the Comparatives/Reports from their homepage.

Kingsoft has submitted a new package. Their antiphishing product Browser Shield 3.5 is in the queue for integration, testing and certification.

OESIS OK welcomes Prevx as the latest member of the interoperability certification program. Prevx Enterprise 3 is now in the queue for integration and testing.

We are happy to welcome Qihoo 360 to the OESIS OK Certification Program. Their Antivirus 1.x application is currently in the queue for testing.

We would like to announce that our monthly maintenance update has been released. Version 2.1.7.1 updated the OESIS Local core and added additional 3rd party certifications.

Google announced today that they will be presenting a research paper at the Workshop on Large-Scale Exploits and Emergent Threats (LEET) in San Jose, CA on April 27th.

Their research results are rather alarming.

"Our analysis of 240 million web pages over the 13 months of our study uncovered over 11,000 domains involved in Fake AV distribution — or, roughly 15% of the malware domains we detected on the web during that period."

However response to this threat has improved considerably.

A subscription is required in order to view the detailed results, but anyone can see who made the grade and who was left behind here.

This was a very busy test session, with 60 (!) products tested using Windows XP.
